This module exports a table that converts a language family code to its canonical name:

local family_name = mw.loadData("Module:etymology languages/code to canonical name")["ine"] --> "Indo-European"

It covers families in Module:families/data.

The following errors were detected by Module:data consistency check:

• Austroasiatic, the canonical name for the code aav, is wrong; it should be ဢေႃႇသထရူဝ်ႇဢေးသျႃးတိၵ်ႉ.
• ero, the code for the canonical name Horpa, is wrong; it should be ero.
• Mon-Khmer, the canonical name for the code mkh, is wrong; it should be မွၼ်း-ၶမဵၼ်.

Module:families/canonical names

• The canonical name ဢေႃႇသထရူဝ်ႇဢေးသျႃးတိၵ်ႉ languages (aav) is missing.
• Austroasiatic, the canonical name for the code aav, is wrong; it should be ဢေႃႇသထရူဝ်ႇဢေးသျႃးတိၵ်ႉ.
• ero, the code for the canonical name Horpa, is wrong; it should be ero.
• The canonical name မွၼ်း-ၶမဵၼ် languages (mkh) is missing.
• Mon-Khmer, the canonical name for the code mkh, is wrong; it should be မွၼ်း-ၶမဵၼ်.
